Wow – 18 people last night. Nice to see Shanghai foosball growing again.
Also, nice to be able to congratulate last night’s outstanding player’s – “the Shanghai players who took part in the Shanghai Open”. Congratulations again everyone for representing Shanghai so well.
We had six players who joined us who just happened to be in the bar and may or may not come out again. A big welcome though to Ibrahim, Alain, and Omer who came out specifically to play in our event. Welcome to our community and we hope to see you on a regular basis. Nice to see Dan and Stefano becoming regulars. Also nice to welcome back Jason and Cecilia…
Playing strong in third place was Chris and Felipe. Between last nights Bronze medal and their medals from last week’s events, those two guys were wearing enough Bling that they could have been mistaken for rap stars.
In second place and winning silver medals was the team of Edward and Yolaine. Yet another medal for Yolaine and a strong showing by Malaysian Pro Edward. Once Edward has had time to adjust to what is a new table for him – LOOK OUT!
In first place and winning the gold medal it was Lea! Lea at forward. Lea in the goal. Lea, Lea, Lea. Oh yes, some chubby middle-aged organ donor may have assisted slightly. I think the guy was her father or something.
Next week we are very sad to say that we will soon be losing one of our star players. Felipe from Brazil will be leaving us soon to relocate to Southern China. We will miss him and his amazing two bar. You are invited out next week for our Outstanding award winner for “Best 2 bar in Shanghai” – Felipe! Edward and Alain might have something to say about that though. Whoever draws me as a partner will be finishing last. Ha ha.
