2011 October SHANGHAI OPEN
We had another great time at the 2011 Shanghai Open, which was held was held from Friday, October 28th to Sunday, October 30th (2011). Over 50 players registered. LOTS of events. 6,000 RMB prize money plus trophies, medals and certificates. No politics. No banquets. No concerts. Just Foosball and lots of it. Bubba’s was a great host, even if they were hard to find. But the venue itself was great with lots of room for our 8 tables, plus great food and booze. Some glitches with the spreadsheet and Fred blowing up again which is becoming kind of common at each big event. Ha ha. Sorry to those involved or affected by our spreadsheet malfunctions.
We attracted many new players which is always exciting plus our returning players. We were glad to welcome players from Lanzhou, Dalian, Harbin, Chanchun, Hong Kong, and of course Shanghai. Plus Stefan, the Couch Surfing, VW Bus riding, world traveller guy! A good mix of Expats and Chinese. A big thank you to all of our sponsors and guests.
The competitions was played in ITSF recognized Fireball tables and ITSF rules.
